ODU Program helps local Government Contractors Commercialize

  • Are you a government contractor or individual who relies upon Federal spending?
  • Have you ever thought on being less dependent on the ups, downs and even delays of federal contracts or appropriations?
  • Do you have a scalable idea, service, or product that with a little help you could create commercial market revenue?
  • Do you need help to determine if there is a viable commercial business model for your idea, product, or service?

Gov2Com is here to help you explore ways to grow by creating new commercial lines of business. It will help you create and validate a business model, plan for execution, determine financial requirements, and determine where and how to fund your new commercial business line. If you need to seek outside funding, we will help you prepare your pitch, and guide you to grants, financial institutions, and/or potential investors.

Gov2Com is part of Old Dominion University’s Institute for Innovation & Entrepreneurship TempO program. It is funded by a grant sponsored by the Commonwealth of Virginia through the Department of Defense Office of Economic Adjustment. Want to find out more, or if you qualify, contact:
